Broom and Mount Controls Remapping

Alternate and more intuitive mapping for broom and mount control for both mouse and controller

This mod modify the mapping file for better mouse and controller controls for the broom and the mounts.

What the mod does
Mouse: move right, left, up and down with the mouse. An inverted up and down version is available.

Controller:
– Left stick moves right, left, up and down.
– Right stick moves the camera left and right.
– ‘A’ moves away from the camera slowly. Hold to get finer turns while flying (‘RT’) or boosting (‘LT’).
– ‘X’ moves toward the camera. Hold to get tighter turns.
– ‘Y’ enters fly mode with your mount.

How to install
– Locate where the game is installed (in steam right click the game Manage > Browse local files)
– Navigate into Phoenix/Content/Paks
– Create a folder called ~mods (name doesn’t really matter, it’s for convenience)
– Unzip the downloaded mod into that folder (extension of the modded file should be .pak)

Note: If you changed any of the key bindings in the game options prior to the mod’s installation, you may need to reset all keys to default. You can redo the bindings to your liking afterwards.

FAQ
Q: How do I invert controls?
A: For mouse download the inverted version of the mod. For controller go into the game settings Gameplay Options > Inverted Flight Controls.

Q: Can you make the camera move up and down while flying ?
A: Not with remapping unfortunately, that action simply does not exist.

Q: My mount can’t move forward on ground with the left stick.
A: Moving forward has been remapped to ‘A’. Couldn’t find a way to differentiate between flight and ground movement.
