Beards and more
No more packs, no longer choose between facial hair or scars.
BETA VERSION OVERVIEW
Requires Character Editor Mod & Blueprint Apparate Modloader
Not compatible with Extended Character Creator, same file is edited
If installing normally copy both z_BeardsAndMore_P & a_ExpandedAvatarFramework_P files to ~mods folder
Both files need to be installed, game will crash without BeardsAndMore files in current state
Follow instructions to setup Character Editor & Press F5 ingame, on dropdown of FacialMarking003, see !FacialHairs.txt in archive for list of options.
If uninstalling please change marking3 back to MarkingMale003a before removing to prevent potential crashes from assets no longer being present
Note: I have unlocked all previously hidden avatar customization options, these will appear in the usual character editor menus
Overview
Want your wizard to look as mature as he acts?
Have no need for the various scar options?
Give your wizard some facial hair instead, replaces the scar options with various facial hairs found on NPCs
Features
No mesh replacements, Data edit only
Fully animated using the original “Beard” character attachment used for NPCs
Matches your hair colour
Comes in 3 different packs, covers all the options available in the FacialHair assets folder
Packs 1 & 2 contain all the main styles available in the game, some of these include additional eyebrow meshes and may require use of the no eyebrow option
Pack 3 includes the majority of options that do not have the eyebrow meshes
Installation
Choose the pack you wish to use
Extract archive folder to “Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods”
If you previously had v1.0 installed remove the old BeardScars_Gr*_P files
Create a new character or head into Hogsmeade for a makeover
Known Issues
Some options do not sit on some face options correctly, unfortunately majority of these were designed for certain NPC models rather than our player faces.
Facial hair colour may not match hair until swapping to another colour and back as beard colour isn’t a default value for our characters
Compatability
Only works on male characters
Potential issues when using mods with same chunk number, mod is currently using Chunk 140
Incompatible with mods that change Male Scars
Incompatible with mods that change Male Hair Colours (may still work but likely will revert “beard” to default colour)
Should work fine with mods that replace the referenced Facial Hair meshes
FAQ
Q: Can you add X option from Y character?
A: As I am not editing meshes I am currently unable to add these additional options, unfortunately my attempts so far are crashing the game
Q: Can you remove the eyebrows from the styles that have them
A: See above
Q: Can you make the colour independent from hair
A: As I am working within the bounds of the default UI the only options I have to piggyback off are Hair, Eye and Eyebrow, I may do an eyebrow colour version in the future providing the colour values are the same as the hair ones
