Seasons Manager
A simple mod restoring seasons and time flow to the game

After the main story, the seasons stop progressing which is unfortunate.
Why miss out on the beautiful seasonal scenery and decorations?
This mod aims to address this.

What this mod does:
Changes the seasons as the in-game time progresses.

Default settings (which can be customized) are as follows:
Fall: September to November
Winter: December to February
Spring: March to May
Summer: June to August

Changes the decorations (Hogsmeade, The Great Hall, etc.) during a limited time according to what time of year it is.

Halloween: Oct 1-31
Christmas: Dec 1-31

Optionally, uses the real-life day of the week to determine the seasons, either by following the real flow of time, or by changing the season every real-life week. Change the mod’s settings to how you want to play.

Displays the current time at set intervals (can be toggled off, and the interval can be changed)

This feature is based on winterelfeas#7101’s excellent mod.

Allows you to change the game’s month, day, hour, minute (and thus the seasonal environments) through keypresses.

The time of day, as well as the keys can be customized. These are the defaults:
CTRL+1: January
CTRL+2: February
CTRL+3: March
CTRL+4: April
CTRL+5: May
CTRL+6: June
CTRL+7: July
CTRL+8: August
CTRL+9: September
CTRL+0: October (Halloween Decorations)
CTRL+Q: November
CTRL+W: December (Christmas Decorations)

Mod Settings:
To keep things simple, the mod includes a variables.conf file in the Scripts folder.
All mod settings can be changed in this file, and no LUA edits are required.
Simply read the comments in the file and make the mod behave like you want it to.

FAQ:
Will this affect my save?
Short answer: I don’t know.

Long answer:
I haven’t played through the story yet to see if this affects anything. It should technically only be cosmetic, but I wouldn’t risk it: back up your save file.
This was designed with end-game in mind (as many people were complaining about the seasons not changing).
If you are feeling adventurous and want to use this on your current save, please let me know if this causes issues.
I included a way to reset the date back to whatever time you choose, so in case there is an issue with the save file, you can simply use this mod to reset the time to a moment the game expects.

How can I set the time to whatever I want using the mod?
Open the variables.conf file in the Scripts folder.
There are a few variables you can set (along with their descriptions) in the file.
Check settings for dateSetEnabled and corresponding variables.
Once you’ve made changes and saved the file, hit SHIFT + R by default to reload the file while in-game.
Then hit the key you set to change the date manually and the date should change to reflect what you have specified.

How do I install this?
You’ll need UE4SS to run the mod.
Download a release (preferably a stable release) and extract it.
You’ll need two files: UE4SS-settings.ini and xinput1_3.dll
You can safely discard the other files.

Place these two files at this location in your Hogwarts Legacy install: Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64
Then, create a Mods folder at that location.
At the Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods location, paste the mod files.

Start your game and the mod should be loaded.

Misc:
I recommend pairing this with Rysel’s Tempus Imperium mod to control the rate at which time flows.
This can really add to immersion!
