Take The Biscuit Bug Fix (Reinstate Lock)
Biscuit got you bugged out of completion? Put the lock back on Biscuit’s cage!
Bug reportedly fixed in 3/8 patch
WARNING: I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR BROKEN SAVES. BEFORE YOU CONTINUE WITH THIS, BACKUP YOUR SAVE GAME FILES IN THIS FOLDER C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\SaveGames\somerandomnumberedfolder\!!

You will need:
Hogwarts Legacy Save Game Editor – https://www.hogwartslegacymod.com/hogwarts-legacy-save-game-editor/
A SQL editor – like SQLite Studio.
1. Download Hogwarts Legacy Save Game Editor (HLSGE) and open the html file.
2. Download and install your SQL editor of choice.
3. In the Hogwarts Legacy Save Game Editor, upload your most recent save (look at the timestamps) from the path above. Note the file name (e.g., HL-03-01.sav).
4. Click Save File on the left navigator.
5. Click Download Database 1, it should download an sqldb1.sqlite file.
6. Launch your SQL Editor and open the downloaded database.
7. Look for the table LockableComponentsDynamic.
8. Locate the following ID in the Data table: PadlockComponent /Game/Levels/Overland/SubLevels/HN_AP_Mission.HN_AP_Mission:PersistentLevel.COM_23_MoonCalfCage_0.Padlock
9. Edit the value under the “Locked” column to 1.
10. Commit the change.
11. Back in the HLSGE, still in the Save File menu, under custom DB Upload, attach the updated sqlite file in Database 1.
12. Click Generate Save File, this would download an hlcustomsave.sav file.
13. Rename the downloaded file to what you noted down in step 3.
14. Copy this file back into the save folder and replace whatever’s in there.
15. Load your game and head over to the cage. If it works, the lock should be in place (no mooncalves) and you should be able to go back to the goblin to pick up the quest again.
This edit was done on my no sidequests done save game. I’m not sure if it would work for those with just this one sidequest left. Theoretically, it should. Drop a post if it doesn’t. Thanks!
